Education
We believe in parents being the foremost caretakers for their children’s safety and security. We entrust education providers in many aspects of our children’s understanding of the world. Education has been a place where ideas are thought out, recognized, strengthened, and even challenged. We believe in parents having full and open transparency to what their children are learning. We do not believe in blinding our children from the existence of many different ideas, but we reject outright the recent academic trends to indoctrinate children to concepts before they even understand how the world works. We reject the paradoxical teachings of various critical theories, including those based on race and gender. We reject the rules of “outcome equity” in academics, particularly within core studies such as English and Mathematics. We believe that access to education is vital, including stronger recognition and support of private and homeschooling options, as well as other options that do not require government intervention.
Taxes and Spending
We reject the move of governments, whether local or national, to consider its taxpayers as their own personal bank accounts, to raise taxes for their own ends. We reject the move of reckless spending spurning further demands of taxation. We reject the hidden veil of distracted policy-making that does not address the issues which are facing the communities it portrays to protect. We stand for holding the government accountable whenever they seek additional money to fund failing efforts, as well as when they create additional programs or services when the ones in place do not work.
Economy
The recent narrative-driven trend of painting capitalism as the rich exploiting the poor could not be further from the truth. In true free-trade capitalism, the capitalist would not need to seek government policy-making that devastates small businesses in its wake. The capitalist would not need to influence governments to ignore their actions or to make exceptions for the comforts they provide. The current system in place allows for the government-big business hybrid to manipulate the economy at the cost of the citizen. The regulations governments put on businesses only penalize those without a barrage of lobbyists, accountants, and lawyers at their disposal. We reject the subsidizing of big business through taxpayer dollars, disguised by the government as “economic opportunity”. We believe in supporting small businesses, entrepreneurship, and true, honest market capitalism.
